As our contracts come to a close and our time here at Maestros is nearly finished, I thought it would be nice to share with you a few highs and lows from the past year– with a few comical pictures thrown in – so that if anyone is thinking of joining Maestros for a gap year, they can refer to some people who have ‘been there, done that and bought the t-shirt’.
Emma's Maestros Story:
I thought I should begin with some of my highlights (it was too hard to choose just one). First The Junior Music Festival, which I was absolutely blown away by. This was the first time I had seen the direct result of everybody’s hard work. Hearing the children singing and the musicians playing was amazing. It also meant I was able to spend the whole day working with some of my favourite people – it didn’t even matter that we were working for 12 hours straight (set up, rehearsals and straight through to the end of the concert and packing up). |
So, thank you Berkshire Maestros for helping me discover what I wanted to be.
P.S. I forgot to mention the time the central services team hid in a cupboard and took a selfie...... ---->
